Abstract

Proteins as drugs have serious disadvantages: they quickly hydrolyzed after administration; they can cause undesired immune responses. An important way to overcome these shortcomings is both modify them, or the incorporation into micro- or nanoparticles. The review on the basis of specific examples are considered basic principles of modification and encapsulation of proteins, as well as the effects obtained from such manipulations.
